There is currently an inordinate lag and frequent R0's for ~30 seconds in Qufim, before stuff catches up (you're usually not kicked out of the game).

If you're stuck unable to move after a fishing attempt, try waiting a bit for the current lag spike/R0 to subside, you should be able to move at some point.

Update: Long R0's are all over Vana'diel, people don't get kicked but rubberband and end up dead. I'd stay away from dangerous areas for the time being.
