U need shadows, fomor drk will 1 shot ur pt without shadows, everyone needs to keep shadows up, mages need blink, or to stay 16'+ away. Need to readup on a wiki somewhere to know what tp moves to expect from which job also. Drk are the hardest cause of their huge aoe dmg. Race matters alot when u prep for a pull also, galkas have alot of hp while tarus you can almost 1 shot. Any whm needs to erase the drown asap it's a big dot. Most importantly everyone needs to keep shadows up.

Echoing previous sentiments but:
- everyone within 16-18 needs shadows.
- keeping shadows up is the #1 priority.
- all fomor use conal aoes that will kill most mages
- fomor with 2 handed weapons (including SMNs) can also use grim Halo (another aoe).
- tauri use a doom inducing gaze attack.
- Dancing Chains from fomor is a physical aoe plus a severe drown
- whms should have erase for drown and cursna for doom
- fomors aggro sound and low HP

The only difference from retail is dancing Chains wasn't a physical aoe iirc. But it also wasn't blockable by shadows.

I once went to sacrarium with a Sam who refused to level, let alone sub nin. He died soooooo many times. Especially because the mages gave up trying to cure him. It was more mp effcient to raise.
