I've noticed that you can look back a little ways here on the site, but was curious if a more detailed list exists? I'm getting settled in, and am curious about how often certain prices change/which direction I can expect them to go.

There isn’t anything available beyond what’s visible on the site, but in all likelihood you’ll quickly start to learn how the economy ebbs and flows. To be honest, a good chunk of getting skilled at this game is learning how to participate and influence it, especially if you’re planning to *seriously* take up a craft. I wouldn’t be terribly surprised if people are keeping track of prices of various things over time on their own.

It’s not terribly uncommon for people to intentionally inflate/deflate prices of various mats/items/etc. to suit their needs, either by controlling supply or even resorting to selling something to themselves (usually an alt or mule) enough times to saturate the entire AH history so that people that aren’t “in the know” wouldn’t know any better what prices the markets had previously settled on. However, for the most part, most things generally tend to go up in price as demand goes up, so expect price increases during active population surges like Summer, after random news articles/popularity peaks like when Ninja started streaming Nasomi, etc.

I'd put cool pics of my achievements/items here, if they were anything interesting. How about "I pooped today! \o/"

I figured as much, but was curious. I'm a bit rusty but I remember that the AH fluctuates a lot. I'm definitely tracking certain items, but I only have like 4 days of data so far hahahaha

Better not be scraping.

I'm not sure what that is. I was just curious how steady the prices of the things I was farming were. I'm just starting, so at the moment I can't tell what's actually valuable, and what is currently way up/way down from where it usually is.

scraping is using computer automation to extract useful/profitable analysis or database information from a source

nasomi does this for a living, so i'd say it is fair game to discuss. just make sure to do your research manually and not take any shortcuts

I see. No, I'm not that involved hahaha. I just like to do a little research before I decide what I want to farm/craft. It looks like fishing is the way to go. Hard to beat something that can make decent money even when the AH is slow.
