Hi all,

I've been playing on Nasomi for a short while and I already feel at home. I've been playing a tonne of other games since 7 years ago when retail became too different for me. In those 7 years I have never experienced a community like FFXI and I truly felt like I'd grown out of it, and Ive felt too old or whatever.

After coming to Nasomi I've felt nothing but helpfulness, welcoming and complete generosity from the community. There have been players helping me with ranked missions, starting Gil, and even a Monster Signa when they heard I wanted to main BRD. Even Twitch streamers answering questions and chatting goes a long way.

So I thought I'd say... while FFXI is a fantastic game and has aged like a fine wine (on this server anyway) it's actually the community and the players we meet that make FFXI the game it is, and I'm proud of that.

I'm on a long-term hiatus, but I wholeheartedly agree. I know it is cheesy, but it reminds me of Cheers:

As angry and frustrated as this game makes me sometimes, it has done so much for my mental well-being. I have the community to thank for that. <3

Well i certainly agree this era was it's peak but I never played past 2007. Community here though I have to disagree to a point. They are very welcoming as in this era as was retail and great they gave you something free. My thought is they are expecting of you to perform and help them all out as well "because they gave you free stuff". I certainly could be wrong but on here for two years , it's not the same but you will never get the same. So it is as you take it and it is a great place to be. I certainly enjoy my time on here and some things are easier and some as in "social" are not as easy even though people are 15+ years older. But if ever you encounter crappy things , always another avenue to travel. Cheers!
