Good on you, OP. If you haven't heard from the dude, and you're struggling to find who it actually was, I think you'll be okay to keep your extra 11k though.

I agree with the problem of tells, but a quick forum user name search would reveal that there is a forum user with the same name as the player. Then a PM could be sent instead of the public appeal.

It's very likely that a public post has the highest potential to reach the user he was trying to get a hold of. I browse the forums all the time without logging in. Often times when I do log in I have missed notifications or messages from weeks prior. Post has been made. Points have been made. The guy he wanted to give the gil back to(Veitc) is still MIA but his mule is almost always online in lower jeuno at the guide stone. Name is Veticjeuno.

Its all good. I am glad I found out who it actually belongs to. I actually only play about 3-4 hours a week, sometimes even less so I made a forum post more out of my lack of playing than the actual person's. If a mod wants to delete this post now I can try my best to find this person the 1 or 2 times a week I hop on. Work sucks! Wish I could put the hours in that I did in 2003!

If we could all start ignoring people's toxic posts like this, it'd help these forums out a whole lot.

Regardless of your reasons, good for you for trying to right a mistake made by another player.
