Thats totally fine. My point is the value added (regardless how much you value content vs gear) vs the time it takes to implement is far greater to just add gear to the loot pool of OWNM than to implement everything fully. Its been over 3 years and its not implemented. Adding gear to a loot pool would take an hour and actually provide value.
My question is just that... what VALUE does it add to the server? All content is doable with the currently available gear, so what value do those items really add. The ENMs/KSNMs add value because they provide content to spread the population out to additional content, and the rewards are just a biproduct of that.
Agreed - sure, there'd be some nice value in having some of the ENM items added in today (mainly the crafting mats that are impossible or very difficult to get like galateia, urushi, etc.), but I think most of us would prefer having 'something to do' over just another 'something to have'. Heck, it'd even be cool if there were some other out-of-era content to do, even if the potential rewards weren't anything to write home about: e.g.: silly stuff like force-popped "hard-mode" versions of ground kings (just jack their levels/stats/hp up by about 20 levels and remove the rage timer) that only drop non-body abjurations and black belt items, or something like the Limbus basement instances that are crazy difficult and award nothing more than some silly retail event item like Ark Tachi, etc. Having something like Einherjar eventually would be amazing too, but getting there would be a crap-ton of dev work since as far as I know there's little to none of it done in DSP/Topaz mainline, so nothing to easily adapt into Nasomi.
It'd be great if we could help out in some way with getting the additional stuff developed/coded in, even if it's just recording a bunch of junk from retail/etc. and submitting it anonymously. Technically, yeah, we could contribute to Topaz and offer that work up to be merged in, but I know that can potentially get a little tricky with ethics now that Topaz is technically AGPLv3 vs. the old DSP build that was all GPLv3 (assuming Nas wanted to follow Da Rulez and didn't want to have to publish his code base, or deal with people wanting to revoke their own contributions, blah blah blah), not to mention the potential difficulty in having to refactor everything to work with the current state of Nasomi and how it's evolved over time vs. current DSP/Topaz...
