So after camping a few more times, I've seen it pop 2 times, but I still don't know why. All the other rarabs in the area were up. I noticed that the proper PH was up a few times after Ropipi died, but after it died a few times it didn't respawn again. Quite curious, I'm wondering if the PH is just not respawning, spawning very far from where it should, taking ages to respawn, or maybe spawning as something else?

Anyways, ended up getting the 2 ribbons my wife and I were looking for, hope this info might help someone else hunting for this little bastard.

Many NMs on nasomi are timed spawns where they were lottery on retail. 2 examples that come immediately to mind are Keeper of Halidom (Daihannya) and Centurio X-I. (Shaman's Cloak) It sounds like he is the same.

I understand what a lottery spawn is, I played XI for years, this however isn't what the complaint is about.

I had similar problems with him. I've never seen him up except when people were trying to camp him. So I do assume there is a PH as compared to a timed spawn.

Look for star onion brigade ls for a pet ls if you haven't already joined up. Contact me on liihu if you need a pearl.

Having a similar issue. Been sitting at the PH's spot for hours and niether he nor the PH spawns. Killed all the other rarabs multiple times and it didn't help.

Do we have an official confirmation as to what is going on with this rarab?

If it's a timed spawn like Aeroo suggested then why has it been multiple hours with no pop?

I've seen two other threads where someone claimed that the placeholder is just glitching and not spawning so what's going on?

No, what he is saying is that it could be incorrectly coded as a timed spawn
