Forming your own parties is a skill you'll want to acquire, especially when you get into the higher levels where finding parties gets much more difficult, especially on any day that isn't the weekend. Private servers have low populations, so it'd help you greatly to be able to take the first step and form the party.

I never really had much trouble finding parties in the Valkrum Dunes, it's the higher levels that are the issue. Finding yourself in an active linkshell should help with finding parties though.

I might spell valkurm dunes wrong. I do /sea "valkurm dunes" and ask the party leader for a party slot.

Learn the /sea command and make your own party. It will make your ffxi life easier.

I think the correct command would be /sea Valkurm

But you need to have been in the zone to /sea a zone directly.

Starting parties, and knowing how to screen/understand how to make an effective group composition is a great skill as Bosworth noted. It's also important to weigh in on how you spend your time. Looks like you can't get an invite for the next few hours? Go solo EP mobs/farm. killing 3-5 EP mobs per minute is about as good as your average dunes party.

Hi nubbling, let me know if I can help you with anything in-game.
I just started out but I have experience from my days on retail.

You're a bit ahead of me on lvl, but I'll surely lend you a hand on subjob quest or leveling.

My handle is Besbeset.

Have fun in Vanadiel!
