There was already a thread with thousands of synths recorded with no correlation to moon, day, or direction shown.

While fishing in San d'Oria yesterday I heard people talk about how they skillup fishing faster during New (0%) Moon and all that, this game is amazing with its many superstitions. Or maybe it was just funny banter. Anyway as Nabutso said it doesn't work that way anymore on Nasomi. You can still observe elemental directions and phases of the moon if it brings you enjoyment (and not frustration).

Not just a few adjustments to help lag, a bunch of the code is multithreaded now, meaning that you don't just get unplayable lag when there are a lot of players in an area.

We went from 10+ seconds zonewide lag in the dunes with ~90 players to 0 lag with 120+.

Umm... we have a good 5 sec lag now with 70 players in the zone. I'm a new player, so I don't know how it was before, but right now it's definitely not fun.

Yes, it's come back in a recent patch. Nas has already been made aware.

I’ve had more personal success on New Moon Darksday facing the weak direction than any other. Is what I am saying and what I am going to go on myself. Which is what I used on retail.

It’s weird to base it on an example where we know it didn’t matter, like retail.

I did the same. On WoW whenever id face east I'd do better and it follows me here. Must be some kinda programming secret like typing "cookie" when you have the cookie monster virus

I don't care what someone does personally, or what kind of superstitious thoughts you have about your success..

that's different than coming to a forum and arguing about something based on something we know to be false.

Its not like there was relevant info ingame pointing out directional elements or anything. Not a map, or stars in the sky in every zone or anything like that.

I don't doubt that today in retail directions and moon don't matter. I also don't believe SE when they say that it never did. I believe they removed and replaced proprietary code from the game before they sold it to another company. They're either lying for legal purposes or because the spokesperson who answered these questions had no idea.

I honestly can't find it but I distinctly remember back in 06 someone running 10s of thousands of synths, using the data to make the directional compass, and then realizing it matched the star chart. This is also not the original craft calc I used back then, I'm pretty sure it was in japanese and very plain.
