It still is unclear to me which year of FFXI nasomi is on. That makes it somewhat impossible to do your research on wiki history. And there is history for Respose from November 19th 2007. That is one day before WotG was released.

Sleep, if you're going to play on Nasomi, you're either going to have to adapt your mentality to be able to live with how things are here, or quit. You're not going to get your way, ever. Unless you find some way to forcefully get your way, and not get caught, as some do.
You have to have zero expectations of any fairness, reciprocity, standards or common sense. The universal response to any problems you have will always be "it is what it is". Only once you accept the fact that you can lose anything and everything at any point in time for reasons outside of your control and that nothing will be done about it, will you be able to continue playing on the server.
There's no obligation of quality or continuity here, it's a guy running a server out of his basement using his own time and money. Every day we get to keep playing comes out of his pocket, and yes..we're investing hours of our lives that we'll never get back, but we all know that the moment we sit down to play ANY video game.
