I think the issue here is that due to all mobs in TOAU being lvl 99 it open some doors specifically for smn to take advantage of the situation. If TOAU mobs where there regular level no one would be complaining about Meteorite bc you are spending 108MP to do 500 dmg constantly. What I do hope is that Nas fixes the Magical merit BP's as that would really improve the smn job in general and separated the non-merited smn with the merited ones.


That be nice if you got some confirmation because right now my 57 smn hits between 120-520 with zero consistency with meteorite on EM-VT and it's making exp totally brutal, I really like my smn but right now it's rather depressing to play. Not to mention he regularly hits for 20-30 dmg and can barely keep any agro off me.

I'm pretty sure we already argued about this, and discovered that meteorite use to get resisted.

Edit: I could be wrong. I don't play SMN... but I believe that long discussion took place when I accidentally mentioned this bug in the first place.

I played smn non-stop from 2005-2011. I duo multiple high lvl NM’s by using carby and not once did I see it get resisted. We found out nether blast was better due to it being able to hit mobs far away as meteorite required the mob to be closer to carby. The sole reason carby was the go to was bc meteorite did not get resisted and carby was free. I will see if i can get confirmation.

BRD quest is broken for me as well, talked to all the people in the Merry Minstrel, no cut scene at the song rune stone in Buburimu.

Pretty sure there is no cutscene when initially starting the quest in Lower Jeuno. Did you talk to Mertaire(hume M) then Bki Tbujhja? If you talked to them in the opposite order you can't progress until you go back and get the dialogue about the song runes.
