How was the trek to 97 cloth for you? I just started and i just managed to bomb two stacks of rainbow thread and cloth for a single .1 skill-up. I'm going to need 140 stacks of rainbow thread and and cloth at this rate. I'm not sure i even want to continue at this rate. I would have loved a 10% skill up rate.

I've crafted over 60 stacks of thread, and 5 stacks of cloth, to get to 76.8 and have stopped.

I just managed to bomb another stack of rainbow thread and cloth without a skill-up. I actually feel like i hit a brick wall. I have thief, i farmed 2M worth of rainbow thread thinking this was gonna be enough to at least get to like 94-95 and . . i can't stomach this. I got to 90 just fine but that was back when moonphase was a thing. I put cloth on hold to level my other crafts and now i honestly feel like i can't finish.

I wouldn't encourage anyone to bother leveling a craft right now.

Is it a bug that causes low craft/skill up rate?

I had log out for a bit. I was really getting emotional at how much gil i just wasted for a lousy .1. It wasn't just that though. I did a craft, i took all the subs to 60 that i needed, i got all the GP items, and now i feel like i can't even finish it? Thinking about this more... i did do Kabura Arrows recently on my alt and it was about a good 99 synths for 1-1.5 levels on average. That i could stomach, took me awhile but i did it. The challenge is that if the trend follows with cloth and i end up needing 8 stacks of rainbow thread AND cloth for 1 level that's still a good 40-50 stacks of rainbow cloth? I shouldn't need a relic worth of gil to take cloth from 90-97.

And 90-97 is insanely cheap compared to 98-100. Like wolffhardt said, crafting for skill-ups right now is just not worth it, unless you have access to an extremely cheap recipe. I've logged 300 synths in this thread alone just to show I'm not being hyperbolic and that skill-ups rates are dismal and not close to retail by a huge margin.

I really want to finish the craft just from a progression standpoint as well but it's just not realistic. In my opinion the best bet is to sit tight and hope it gets fixed, but I have no idea how much Nas is aware of it/cares. At least you got it to the 90s and have access to a good amount of money recipes.

I tried to keep a positive mentality and try a different synth. I had the same results (thankfully the materials were cheaper). As metz stated earlier, it's bullshit and needs to be addressed ASAP. please note that i've had no problems below 60 so it's time to level those sub crafts if anyone still needs to level them. I will be submitting a bug report on this issue everyday until its fixed. I've had it. I live with a lot of bugs but this is not how a server needs to be run.

atm i dont see how it will be fixed since theres disagreement on if its even an issue.

Skill ups seem fine if your 3-5 away from cap on a recipe...why not just skill up on higher recipes?
