Nasomi, I totally respect the hard work you're trying to do when enforcing policies. In instances where we have a number of accounts linked to one bad account, my job is to make sure those other accounts are thoroughly looked into before banning them based on their association to a bad account. If I was closing all accounts that are linked to one bad account without digging into each account thoroughly, I wouldn't be doing my job properly. Plus, I'd have a lot of angry users complaining when I may have erroneously closed their accounts; this hurts our business model and as well the community at large.
Some of these people you banned are genuinely good people. I've partied with a number of them and they have only been kind and helpful to me. I am saddened that some of these 'good' players got mixed into a group of bad players simply based on their IP association. While I appreciate the work you do to maintain a cheat-free server, I really must contend that if you banned innocent players without thoroughly looking into each account, it is hasty and lazy work on your part. I know you don't have the time to look into each account thoroughly, but you are banning innocent players who have put months--maybe years--of their time into your server. If you don't have the time to look into each account, you may want to consider creating a team to help you with the process. One man can't do everything himself; I would certainly fail miserably if I didn't have my own team. I'm sure people would be willing to help you if given the chance.

it sucks that it takes a post like this to get a response from nasomi; you dont have to be a damn policy manager to understand that the course of action that nasomi decided on taking was foolish/lazy/insensitive. I dont care what you have to say about this being a hobby for him, it clearly grew to something bigger than he has the capability/time/etc/etc/etc for....you cannot argue or change my mind on this. if there is anything certain (which is a term that is HARDLY used with nasomi in the same sentence) is that this server has/will take a toll due to all this. BAD PR AINT ALWAYS GOOD. Also the talk of content release gets no ones dick hard but new people who have no idea how empty your promises/words/timeline plan or any other distraction that you can come up with to have people under the illusion that the promised content that you do plan on releasing will even work correctly because you never test anything prior to kickin it live for whatever reason.
Over and over and over again the community has reached out to you to help you which you have refused politely and thats ok if you had the capability of doing it yourself. If you want to keep arguing using the reasoning "its a hobby for him" well then enjoy your time on nasomi while it lasts because the day he looses interest in his hobby is the day all you little white knights are gonna be left without a nipple to suck on.
I love how many in the thread keep mentioning "SO MANY PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO HELP". Well no, no they're not. To be blunt it's empty words, if people actually had the capacity to help...they would have created a new server with community driven content with all these "helpers" and it would become the new central hub in the private server community. This also would have happened years ago. Nasomi has already spelled out exactly why he no longer recruits outside help. That's also not just directed at the coder side of things, that's also the people in this thread who think they magically know how to identify people without the use of billing information or credit cards to tie to a specific individual. Even those are shakey at best, but if there were real answers Nasomi could actually work with then please post those ideas in this thread and you might get some visibility but the fact is no one has a damn clue how to disentangle this mess. The only attempt I saw was disposable asking for 2FA, but that...I don't even know where to being to say 2FA doesn't identify individuals, but at least it was an attempt.
As for the Chinese, I feel for the innocent ones, but at the same time...if you all knew you were playing with shady players, why did you all use the exact same VPN? There are literally hundreds of options out there its amazing that all of them chose ONE to stick with, seems odd.
