Just thought I'd mention that the fishing "stuck" bug isn't actually fixed. Stuck as we speak. Not here to bitch about it, just thought I'd mention that the big still needs work incase it wasnt known. Didn't read all 16 pages so I don't know if it's already been mentioned just thought I'd point it out. Appreciate the work put into the game and I'm sure it's not easy.

My Isue with this is the fact we were straight lied to about it when asked if this was the yalm nerf we were told by both Nab and Nas during a Q&A and then bam here it is the Yalm nerf with a nasomi touch.(aka he changed the ranges a little)

I'll add another post to the Rng ammo delay thread in a bit but I went and tested 6 different guns with two different ammo types about a month ago and basically confirmed that Marksmanship at least for guns is going by the new TP formula and bullet delay accounts for 0 TP across the board.

PM'ed nas, and realized it's worse than I thought: I added two archery merits the other night that would both be active at 60 that were not in use the previous times I had collected damage numbers.

No way to say this isn't a nerf. The only bonus that exists is at a range a ranger SHOULD NEVER BE AT. You're still inside AoE range in HNM situations, and outside melee range for everything else. The only thing you could maybe say this benefits is PERHAPS situations where you'd want to be /war /sam or /whothefuckcares fighting something that doesn't aoe. Here's the clincher though, you're STILL going to hit the threat cap super fast and now, and (go figure)....you'll be CLOSER to the mob.

Anyway, here's some numbers:
55% of sweet spot damage @ melee range (1 yalm, was only able to hit with sharpshot on (dafuq))
80% of sweet spot damage @ max range (25 yalms)
Sweet spot damage seems to be about the same as normal damage pre-nerf. Can't accurately make this last statement without seeing WS numbers (relying on memory).

Numbers were tested with hellfire and pot-au-feu on misereaux coast birbs.

Sweet spot for gun: 8 yalms
Sweet spot for bow: 14 yalms

Distance you should be at for merits: neither of those turds.
Distance you should be for hnms: neither of those turds.

so whats the point of playing RNG now? outside loving the job
searching the sweet spot every pull, being useless solo once the mob is in melee u are "nerfed" (farming , killing NM ect)
wasting hundred of gils for mediocre dmg ? , rng was good on piercing and kited mobs (not anymore) , but "ok" at best on other.

i expect a lack of invites (blm 2.0 ) , no1 likes rng outside melee , bards / cors buffing up now need to pay attention , ranger needs to be far away but not with mages to avoid getting mages buffs , so on the other side of melee , rdm bitch that rng is too far away to get heals...they get agro all melee have to move , if mobs is 20% or less no tank is going to voke it , will save voke for next mob. With how "pathing" works in ffxi ugh....


Fish change is "ok" i guess , would be cool if we get a new text , instead dont catch anything , because i get those x3-x4 in a row from time to time and now i have to wonder if its the fatigue or not.

Monomi and tonko on 3 min is unnaceptable , they arent free like sneak or invis , can only be used on yourself...prolly a bug , because 3 min is nothing.
