At what point do people start thinking your rank is acceptable to send an invite?
I am rank 3, started playing mid December, and am 73.5 SMN with numerous other jobs 50+.
I have had no issues at all getting party invites. I don't think my low rank has had a negative impact to me finding groups.
I have completed half of CoP but no one can see that I don't think. I should actually hit 75 tonight. Maybe just better people skills? I don;t know what the difference is. Maybe it's just THF ?
Yeah, it's mostly just THF, really.
But what Docomo seems unwilling to accept is that a higher rank denotes, on average, a greater likelihood of a more advanced and skillful player. Lower rank isn't always a dealbreaker for certain jobs. But I've seen rank 1 and 2 players show up to parties totally naked except for a mediocre weapon and gloves. Most RMT are super low rank. New players who don't know the game stay low rank for a long time.
Ultimately, to me it's a warning sign, and may indicate that a player isn't knowledgeable or engaged with the games's content.
I know someone who's a lvl 50+ BRD without a subjob. I'm pretty sure it's his idea of a 'social experiment', but it's the kind of thing that's only ever going to hinder a group's performance. Intentionally neglecting parts of the game like that is a red flag to me, whether it's subjobs, rank levels, underleveled subs, inappropriate subs, not using food, or whatever. It shows a lack of care, and I've seen enough instances where people like that ruin an entire party that I'm comfortable being choosy when I see the warning signs.
I got stressed out so I got rank 5 today.
