Okay, so here's the deal. You can only advance your progress with the quest once every 5 minutes.

You have to talk to the NPC from behind while your costume buff is on (either from Festive Moogle once every 5 minutes or from Skeleton Robe from event). If you talk to it from the front or without the costume buff, it will depop.

The best strategy when you find it is to pop your buff, talk to it, and then move away a little bit and wait the 5 minutes cooldown. That way others know you're waiting and can locate the NPC. If people work together, this is much less of a PITA.

-Once you zone after beginning the quest, you lose progress.

So does anyone know HOW we know when we are done with a nation? I think thats the biggest confusion, some people are saying theyre done in other cities cause it said you joined the procession but others are under the impression there is a certain trigger to let us know.

Just did my 13th message in bastok and nothing different was said, how do we know when were done with a city?

It only took me 11 messages in Sandy, so not sure. So far, Windy is giving me the same order of messages.

Just remember, no matter how dejected you get over the events, the tidal talisman is coming up at christmas. The treat staff is nice and worth getting too, but the tidal talisman is just the best. If you have any plans of making an alt or a jeuno bazaar mule, do it before Christmas.
