Yeah that's certainly a bad side effect of how broken the search function is. Hopefully now that Nas has broken down communication and tightened the level requirements of parties, the next priority will be fixing search and search comments.

Not having comments is the real burden. People used to lfg on multiple jobs via MH.

Are search comments really going to help though? If people can't be bothered to use the search feature in the first place and instead spam MH shouts, I can't see them taking the initiative to click on all the names with green dots in the search results to read comments on extra jobs people are LFG on...

I know I only represent one person's perspective and experience, but I don't ever recall getting a party invite on retail for a job in my seacom as opposed to the one I was actively seeking on. Maybe others have some good success stories from retail of the seacom actually working for you?

It was not very common before level sync but I bet it's much more common with sync the way it is here.

If someone is too lazy to read seacoms they are too lazy to be building a party anyway.

I had a lot of success building parties this way in retail. It helps if the job you're on while seeking and the other jobs you're willing to exp as are in the same level range. Otherwise you aren't likely to show up in the search results in the first place.

Seacoms are basically a chance to advertise yourself to others and convince them to pick you over the other people seeking in your role. i.e. SMN can put that they have Fenrir; rdm, refresh; whm, erase; etc. If people aren't taking advantage of them they are just wasting their resources.

I even had a macro in retail to set my seacom when I logged in to whatever I was working on/selling/buying/exping.

The default ashita package is dsp related, I believe. But I bet the nasomi text file still auto loads fps though. However, the rules are plain as day. :/

All I'm going to say here, is that I planned on helping the server players with various quests and missions, but now that I cannot read chat from all players and less than a quarter use the forums, my ability to reach new - mid range players is gone.

It was poor planning on nas's part to break the moghouse linkpearl before fixing the mentorship program or even just the search comments.

Same thing was done when he readjusted cast distance for blu spells before first fixing their physical spells, sneak attack utilization and general magic accuracy formulas.
