People hung out in Jeuno in era because auction houses weren't linked. It's not very convenient, especially once you get a few OPs. Once Whitegate came out it became the hub you all seem to want, and SE had to add incentives to try to entice people out or punish them staying for in. Even if you had an npc to warp you to your home nation you may as well just stay there. I guess it could help people who don't know how to navigate Windurst cope by just nwver going home except to OP...

Thanks! I'm tired of posting this simple fact every time this topic is brought up.

Nevertheless, you guys realize the idea of repurposing an existing NPC is what led to the current black belt situation? No thanks.

I think back in the day OP's were way less used. Barely anyone used them when I played in the early days. Also, there's level sync with a 10 level range, allowing players to skip areas such as kazham. I haven't partied in kazham yet but i just unlocked it and went and there was no one there.

One major factor is back in the day you could only spend Conquest Points to use the outpost warper, and you could only gain CP very slowly which was probably already spent on expensive CP items. Nasomi (or the current retail game?) are different as you gain CP very fast and can spend a tiny amount of Gil to use the warper which makes a massive difference.

Personally I just live in Bastok Mines since the Mog House, Auction House, Outpost Warp, and Chocobo Stables are in spitting distance next to each other and its so convenient.

Also I would highly recommend the Jungles, Yuhtunga is fairly friendly and empty (although the mobs have an occasional strange level gap) which makes for quick levelling. Yhoator is more of the same, the biggest benefit for going to these is that the mobs are weak to Piercing which gives you mega damage bonuses (I did 30-32 THF there last night as was topping out at 900dmg SA+Fast Blade > Distortion which practically oneshot enemies).

well everyone makes a great point. Maybe Jeuno will always just be what it is today. Just thought maybe there would be some kind of way to unite our 3 nations :)

I've had many groups in the Kazham jungles in the last months, but people don't usually loiter there until there's a party ready to go.

On Nasomi, Yuhtunga mandies start at level 25 and Yhoator mandies start at level 28. Especially at 28, I've seen NIN tanks get a good beating from those dual-punching plantoids, so the jungles might be less popular because there are generally less PLDs than NINs around. At least in the 20-50 range.

Back in the days, I love having War/Mnk + Great Axe in the jungle cos they own Mandies so bad. Counter avoids a hit (and they hit often for weaker dmg), free attack with Great Axe for nice dmg.

I don't get the fascination with NIN or pally tanks at low levels when War/Mnk is just so much more effective. :/

It takes me five minutes to get from qufim's OP to jeuno. Anything subtracted from that coefficient would be nice.

It’s primarily related to that not being true for most parties.

Oh so that is why it doesn't work and freezes on the 2nd cs? What did he do to it?

Sometimes I just opt for the airship. Not that it's any quicker but at least I can afk.

It takes slightly less time to lure of the wildcat, run to moghouse and zone over to alzahbi, and then use the warp taru.
