I have nin but I would prefer Nasomi look at the issue, there is enough evidence to say this issue may be Nasomi specific and not a proper replication of the game of the past.

I was around back then in fact I was around up to November of 2005.

I played as a WHM and mostly with the Japanese players. The tanks of choice were PLD. Ninja was just beginning to take over but not in a big way, you only subbed ninja rarely.

I personally preferred a PLD tank because Ninja's hate was too slow to build. I loved the Japanese, they didn't insult people.

That would be my point /NIN everything trivializes content. You just don't see it. I see it through 2005 eyes as i have never played on retail since or Nasomi until now.

The solution i truly favour is a Nin only getting Utsusemi: Ni, like every other job breaking power in the game. It's not even consistent with itself in this way. Improve Blink spell to 100% and with the same casting time as utsusemi and put it at level 38 so you can have your rdm tanks if you want them.

Remove Utsusemi: Ichi completely.

I completely agree with OP. He should eradicate ninja and enable DNC. We all know things got way harder when everyone was /dnc.

Just to comment on how backwards things get, your tag line says respect is earned. Which is an idiom, really. Lets bring understanding to the phrase.

1. most respect for those in positions of power was not earned it was granted as a birthright of class
2. basic human respect is a right as soon as you start saying it should be earned you dehumanize everyone.
3. You place yourself above everyone else in using this idiom. As if your respect is something to value.
4. The proper statement should be, Give respect to get respect.

I definitely don't agree with OP. I get the argument but the reality is, this is an era server and the era was subbing ninja on most DDs in most situations for a long time. So Nasomi's Ninja and /NIN is consistent with what this server tries to be. Nasomi wasn't made to improve upon the era but to present it as it was, warts and all.

That's said, y'all are pretty toxic and I don't think OP deserves the kind of treatment he got in this thread. It's perfectly acceptable to disagree with someone without ending up trading insults.
