Why is it every time there's an update, a bunch of shit ends up broken?

I'm not trying to be an asshole with this question, I'm just genuinely curious why this happens

Seems like the integrity of the coding on this server is just screwed with all the underlying issues. It's turned into a shitty, depressing whack-a-mole where he attempts to fix one thing and breaks another. I really do appreciate the effort he puts into this server. But the man needs help that he just won't take.

Avatar stats were lowered across the board, period. ATK, STR, DEF, VIT, ACC, DEX, EVA, AGI, MACC(?)/INT/MND/CHR, this was a flat out nerf. Carbuncle is the only Avatar unaffected by this.
A level 1 Merit BP (AKA 0% TP) NOW does 689-690(!!!) on a level 1 monster (Tiny Mandragora), PRIOR to this maintenance, it was doing 783, PRIOR to that maintenance, it was doing 945, a damage nerf of about 27%. A 3000% TP did less than a 3000% TP prior to this and 'that' maintenance, so no compensation was made whatsoever. Congratulations at making Magical Avatar BPs even more useless, at this point, Nether Blast will be the ONLY "Magical" BP worth using. And no, the Magic Accuracy boost Avatars received last maintenance doesn't make up for this.
There is no need to test Physical Avatar BPs because they're not consistent, but will always be better even with these changes.

I don't think the server is low quality, I just don't get why every time there's an update, there's a long list of shit that breaks. It's still the best private server there is right now

100 item limit per character.

It would be nice if the webpage that list the item you have listed give you to total number of item you have listed easily.

It's an easy fix at the webpage level.

My guess would be there's only so many things he can test by himself. For the puller needing to be the killer is probably a prime example of this. He goes through mowing mobs down and it's only natural that he is both the puller and killer. For the auction house, he probably ran a dozen tests to make sure it worked but didn't test every single item. As a result only certain items were affected.

Hamster is bang on the money re: exp/drops issue.

About the AH, the issue was that nas removed the ability for items with numbers of uses to be listed (rather than just unlisted to a buyer, as it's possible to buy them using cheats regardless of them being shown on the AH). The problem with that is that the db has a "number of uses" set for many items that don't have a number of uses... namely, almost every non-equipment, non-usable item. Why the db is like that, you might ask? Well, ask darkstar.

Popped dark spark, killed, no flame ki as he faded away and would just be repopped over and over. Tried dif torch and kill combination for a while, ten kills or so we gave up, not sure if it’s to do with the non kill credit, was doing the same after the hot fix too.
