Guy pms me to stop posting in his posts lol gtfo

My forum habits are simple

1. Check new posts

2. Something I feel like chiming in on, I chime.

3. See your name and "Respectfully" chiming in becomes optional.

Instead of pretending nobody is respecting your opinion or discussion, how about respecting their opinion or discussion. You always tryin to fight back when someone disagrees with you, which isn't a fight until that point. Furthermore you're spreading tons of misinformation, so when the population corrects you, then stand corrected, or pitch a fit like a 2yr old, all the same to me. It's more entertaining when you pitch a fit though.

Emp pin and leaping boots are already priced like they're ultra rare bcnm drops like monomi. If you're suggesting the price would go up if they were BCNM, that seems wrong. If anything the price would go down from a higher collective frequency of them. Only takes a few minutes to run a BCNM, but the spawn windows on these NM's are like a day.

these NMs basically never even take two hours from their last death to respawn lol

The game is about competition. Competition for NMs. Competition for camps. Competition for the AH.

If you no longer have to compete for anything, it becomes a solo game like retail, and that's when people /quit.

High level thieves farming lizzy is fine. It's one way to make gil.

The only thing I have to say about the topic is that monopolies and oligopolies are not competition. I think people who call this competition are looking for another word. If someone new cannot enter the market then competition does not exist.

Nasomi wishes to preserve laissez-faire (proper word to use), I do believe this is what would make people quit as you have described if it did not exist. An unregulated market means less work for Nasomi. I am sure he sees that as a good thing. It gives the obsessive compulsive something to do. Laissez-faire though also requires citizens to be swift in calling out those who would abuse the system. So this is also part of this philosophy Nasomi wishes to preserve, this is why he takes swift action against gil sellers. I suspect some of the people farming NM's are also involved in gil selling. This is where we should focus our attention on primarily.

Explain to me how this game isn't about competition. Also, how is someone not able to enter the NM market? It pops, you claim, hope you get drop. Look, I have Thf @75 and I've been beaten at claim on LL and other NMs. This game is pure competition and that's a main reason why it's so great. Yes there is work involved with certain aspects like getting jobs high enough to kill said NMs or leveling a craft (shitty as it is...) but that comes down to the player. How much work do you want to put towards this game? This game isn't about handouts.

Nah we should focus our attention on whatever we want, let nasomi run his own show and ignore anything you say about it. If you don't like the nm's and AH the way they are, you can always go build your own private server, updated code is open source, have at it. I sincerely doubt you'll be even a marginal success, even in a group of friends that get together as weekend warriors with prefab chars just to spam pop some HNMs to kill. It's fun for a minute, but gets old quick. Seems like you can handle that better though, I mean.... until you nerdrage and throw your monitor out the window cause you couldn't handle a challenge. Yeh you should definitely go do that, just make sure you pop them with -150 all stats and 50hp, ya know.... So you don't have to buy a new monitor after a couple minutes. ;)

Do you really think that camping LL or VE is that lucrative? Both pop like 18 times a day and drop at like 7% for LL and 15% for VE, thats like 500k/24hour day if you literally get every claim and don't sleep, uncontested buburmibu leeches are 35k/hr so you'd make almost twice as much just killing leeches without even needing to interact with the AH. Try actually thinking about assertions you make before claiming them, everyone who beats you isn't cheating.

Also, don't use words above your pay grade, an oligopoly would imply that all 10 people camping ll were chopping the gil from each drop, and a laissez-faire environment couldn't have rules that FFXI has on it, like the fact that you can't kill other campers etc, it is a standard competitive environment that you're butthurt that you keep losing at. You very obviously want equality of outcome because it happens to benefit you in the now, literally every thread you've posted is "make this overarching change that benefits me"
