This was in response to Nab saying the demand would drop just by making it r/ex. Which it wouldn't. Furthermore, YOU missed the entire point of this thread. I suggested making items r/ex and the bcnm sellable to CHANGE THE DYNAMIC OF CAMPING LOW LVL NM'S. Simply put high lvl+camping low lvl= Bad, unbalanced
high lvl do bcnm for gil instead=Good
low lvl vs low lvlcompete=Good,fun,healthy

Who do you suppose is going to do the BCNM's if everyone camp the rare/ex ones cause nobody else is? Can you imagine what would happen to scroll prices at some of these?

Ironically, you answered your own questions. Why do you assume people won't do the bcnm? That's where the gil would be. But to entertain you, if the "supply" of scrolls decreased then the price would increase. Increase price draws in the the people who love gil to meet the "demand". Quite simple really.

ppl will buy the non rare/ex because is faster than camping a NM , and hoping for a low % drop.

if ppl camp nms because rare/ex and no1 does bcnms , scrolls/geare prices rise up....as soon as prices rise up ppl will rush to do the bcnms to sell the scrolls/gear , Utsusemi NI / Refresh/ Erase on retail werent cheap , ppl did the bcnms all the time to learn/sell.

there is probably more drops/day than ppl joining , its just matter of time every1 on the server has the items and once tha happens what?

in the end is Nas who decides , this isnt democracy , he wants nms droping non rare/ex so be it , but changing it will help the new players and ppl that want the item to use it/wear not to sell it , and will boost the bcnm participation (aka ppl doing content instead of camping Nms )

Remember when utsusemi Ni was over 1 million gil and the only way to get it was OWNM? I do, my first 75 was ninja and I farmed A LOT to even be able to continue exp'in because I didn't have a job for the OWNM and there was no other way to get it at the time.

I really don't feel bad because you have competition, if you don't want to spend the time camping the NM for the drops I suggest taking another approach and raising funds to purchase from AH.
