Alright my bad on reading Fulmination and thinking of Cerb, either way tanks wouldn't die from it full HP, they'd die from the strong para making it impossible to put shadows back up.

Allak testimonies from back then are really terrible, even wiki is littered with misguided claims, like some mobs being immune to some spells when in fact their gear just sucked to land said spells.

Tiamat: We pretty much agree, roaming area, especially corses should be larger. Tiamat itself is missing single target spells. (Those actually would make it easier)

Jorm: Nasomi's version is actually stronger and more resistant, also missing single target spells. Chat staff is just HQ staves with 5 more INT when not nuking blizzard.

Enmity: Yes this happened, and this is/was mostly apparent on mobs you would actually melee that have inflated HP for their relative low level AKA Roc/Sim/KA. On low lvl mobs you build a lot more enmity from dmg than you would from abilities and non-damaging spells.

ZNM gear: Irrelevant, barely side upgrades, can replace oracle hmp with hydra hmp.

Relics: Topic beaten to death, enjoy them or hate them, still takes some dedication to farm one. Excal has a couple edge/fun uses, nothing game breaking. Ghorn>Aegis>whatever for HNM purposes

Hostilities aside, both of my BLMs have identical gear except one uses a Pluto's in place of a Chatoyant for Drain. I get more Drain damage out of the Chat (20-60ish) than I do the Pluto's. Weird.

Dynamis? I think that's the iridescence thing with weathers that might be a thing. Indeed that's slightly stronger but not game-breaking.

I saw KB straight tanked in CoP era FFXI multiple times. Several JPLS seemed to heavily favor it over the kite strategy.


People on Nasomi put much more importance in gear than people did on retail. Elementals at Jorm are proper level to aggro here, as far as I can remember.


Yes, enmity cap is way lower here. I don't like it, but it's not a huge deal.


I don't remember most of the non-PW ZNMs being particularly difficult during ToAU. Am I misremembering?


I think this is one of the only major differences here for a lot of this.

This thread should be renamed, "Topshelf gangs up on people." This thread is equivalent to the dumb bitch who thinks just because she's louder she's winning an argument. Aeroo I'm not sure who you think you are that you can talk about someone being the most hated on the server. Literally everyone thinks you're one of the biggest douche bags to ever cross it. Driven by your empirical high horse born out of what you have in your inventory, position you hold in Topshelf, and your linkshell's accomplishments (and the narcissism spawned from those those victories). I know this isn't new news to you, you've heard it all before. If you think anyone actually likes you its because they're either A. In your own linkshell whom of which already live in a fantasy land where in noone else exists except themselves because THEY ARE THE BEST. B. In Topshelf with you and just kissing your ass as you have authority. or C. Just using you as a means to an end in general. (These statements don't apply to everyone, as there are a few cool people in there.) If your attitude was as solid as the capabilities of Topshelf you'd be an all around swell guy. Maybe you're the reason TS members are starting to bleed into Eden lately.

As for content on Nasomi, it is most definitely easy mode compared to retail, and to Eden. Promys are an absolute nightmare just like the first day of release on retail, and from what I've seen and heard the rest is just as nightmarish, but for reasons that don't involve dumb fucking bugs plaguing the missions. (YOU CAN ACTUALLY USE AND PRETTY MUCH HAVE TO USE ANIMAS, and items that weaken mobs.)

The few HNMs I've seen here also actually pose a challenge, and the Wyrms actually do damage (with fairly overtuned wings.)

Just a few examples from what I've witnessed on Eden.

All in all, Nasomi is far easier than retail ever was when it comes to tuning on the high end shit (and missions). The greater difficulty is finding people who are able to drop everything to get to a spawn before a linkshell who has literally been killing it for fucking YEARS. If you're response is "git gud" you need to plug that gaping maw in your face with your own dick that you've been sucking since that first kill. If any other linkshell had more than 30 seconds to get there, and not be rushed and able to sculpt there first kill un-rushed there might be more people at your level, they don't really get the chance when you're up every wyrms ass to fund the AV's your killing. But not everyone is Organizer savvy, so preparing takes time. TS was around when the server had ~150-200 people on it, you had plenty of uncontested time to wipe on your own and correct your mistakes. And this point just brings us full circle to everything that was easy mode in the beginning (crafting, no competition, different loot tables, etc.). This circular argument will forever continue.

If any of your arguments against me involve any of the below, you're just copping out:

- Mad because he's banned.
- Mad because he's not in Topshelf.
- Mad because of some other retarded reason only you could conjure inside that pea-sized brain.
- Stop coming here and go back to Eden.
- Good, go back to Eden if its so great.
- It's sad that you're still browsing the Nasomi forums.
