It would be overpowered for the 200 reward i think if it was long term.

I say that, but i'm at 70 and i'm dying. I thought i was just going to grab a pad of paper and pen and bang it out, but it's a lot tougher than I thought. I have resorted to excel, grabbing nas's list, and going on ffxicyclopedia to even hope to identify some of these.

i had a few people and between avatars and znms clocked that around 105ish doing just those and mobs otw-ish.

This took me about...3-4 days between planning a xarc to do a bunch of animated weapons and DL and such, squeezed in some HNM's as well, there's all kinds of crazy ways to get different things. but i went hard, i was up many hours pushing for the first 100 and even harder trying to keep ahead of central who was hot on my tails after 100 lol.

I like how part of the thread is actually about the event but somehow rants about cheaters fit their way in. We all hate cheaters. Nasomi hates cheaters. He's working on it. Please stop cheating so we can get updates/content faster.

Buuuutt a lot of the players banned were reported in 2019 if not earlier, hell zigma had 3 or 4 threads on him alone. Ascar got a fucking FBI investigation from camper in what... 2019? January 2020? And the man got to keep it going for another whole year.

It’s not that I don’t feel for nasomi, like it’s sucks having to just comb spreadsheets for days... but we did half the work for ya dog. Servers just in a real terrible state atm

.... makes me salty. I want the server to succeed, I’m sure most of us on here do. Just can’t see “300 bans went out” and feel good about it.... we already reported that years ago.

I’m never going to reroll again on anything less then official SE, so it’s this or nothing. Yeah I don’t really play but that’s just lack of content. What ima do gil farm all day?

Eh, it sucks to burst the bubble of the people trying to enjoy this "content" but you have to understand if you're one of the people currently enjoying the server, congratulations you're most likely playing for yourself/social reasons and nothing else. This is several levels of disappointing.

The first was those who literally spent years attaining what they had, feeling a sense of accomplishment, only to have that snatched away because a few cheaters decided to cheat their way to the top. No one thought it was sketchy as fuck that OC remade a character and in less than 4 months had 2 relics and was pissing away gil in DA betting?

The second layer is those people who actually had a sense of community and wanted to keep the neighborhood watch going reporting said sketchy players, there's literally too many to list but 250 banned with the most egregious being those who duped currency for relics, literally ruined every crafting market, and starting shitting kraken clubs, ...and Nasomi did ZERO investigations and literally waited until someone sat down and held his hand and walked him through exactly how things were done before taking action.

The third layer is that even though Nasomi (better late than never?) banned said cheaters he openly allows them to return to do it again and spit in his face. Sov shit on his server 3 times causing a gilpocalypse and relic regression but still leaving an economy in shambles at least somewhat recoverable. At least Sov tried to hide who he was each time he came back. Openly vocal cheaters like OC and Zigma come back with the same names used and Nasomi is totally ok with it. i know he can't enforce perma bans very well because of VPNs but when you allow not just cheaters, but server ruining cheaters, to come back what's the point of banning them in the first place?

The final layer of disappointment is that Nasomi was doing an amazing thing livestreaming and engaging with the community and providing a roadmap for content that was looking promising. We understood that he was one man and that he couldn't shit out content every month for us to consume. But people stuck around for two years (viewtopic.php?f=16&t=7759) to only get T1 ZNMs, PUP, and now this....recycled content? This is literally the definition of recycled...there's nothing new, just go kill everything you've killed a million times over again. The only reason people will want to do this content is for gobbiebag items because the BCNMs they drop from, which Nasomi messed up TWICE by saying they were in the game but only after thousands of Beastman Seals were wasted did he bother to check and find out they were not actually in, are too difficult and too expensive for most people so this will open up that possibility for the masses.

In each case above, what's the point in continuing on the server? It isn't for the content anymore, it's only to spend time with friends and enjoy old vanadiel for what's left over from the cheaters. Anything else will only lead to disappointment as it has so far.

I'll join Salty in being well...salty. To be clear though, I am not salty because I'm butthurt, I'm salty because I wanted Nasomi to be THE private server for FFXI and gamers to relive the nostalgia. Instead we get this. I am however fortunate enough to have made some amazing friends on the server so I plan to stick around and enjoy their company until the server inevitably shuts down once it's completely overrun by cheaters.

There's a fifth level of players that got shotgunned with the dupers but never duped themselves. Arkanis sits in jail for accepting gil for power leveling services, Surfing for buying a duped club with clean gil, and many others that took free items (while others that accepted hundreds of millions in items are not banned). There's no consistency in the methods, but there's only so much one man can do.

The re-rollers continuing to re-roll is keeping the server active. I'm convinced he allows them to remake to keep people engaged.

Nas is extremely inept when it comes to policing cheating but he has not banned anyone for buying duped items with CLEAN gil. Might need to have a serious talk with Surfing.
