Black mages don't learn sneak or invisible, red and white mages do.
Might as well also say thing seemingly obvious thing but may not be that obvious to first-day players - When people say that "mages learn that spell by level X" (e.g. white and red mages learn invisible at level 25) it doesn't mean that they automatically knows it, it just means that this is the required level for them to be able to learn it. To actually learn the spell you need to get and use the corresponding spell scroll. These can be bought from basic spell stores in all 3 starting cities, more advanced level spell merchants in Selbina, even more advanced spell stores in Windurst and Jeuno, the auction house (virtually sells everything that's not exclusive) as well as drops from certain mage-monsters.
Specifically Sneak and Invisible are sold by the merchants in Selbina, which is nice because if you've been partying there till level 25 you can just buy the spells (assuming that you have the necessary gil) and save the worries about pulling aggros while leaving the area. The downside is that Sneak and Invisible may actually be two of the few spells that are actually go cheaper from the AH than from the merchants, especially Sneak since it can drop from the very low level Amethyst Quadav in South Gustaberg (if you're Bastokan just farm it from them while still soloing), so you may want to buy them ahead of time.
EDIT: One exception is that if you start a new job that shares spells with one of your existing jobs (e.g. you were white mage and now start as a reg mage) then your new job will automatically know those spells the moment it hits their level requirement, e.g. assuming that the white mage knew cure (really
not a very big "if") and you switch to the red mage job, your red mage will automatically know cure once it hits level 3. It won't automatically know, however, any spells that the white mage didn't.
Oh, it should also be noted that both Selbina and Mhaura have nomad moogles, which allow you access to your mog safe (and the rest of the mog inventory, as well as the delivery box and the ability to change jobs) so you don't need to grab everything you'll ever need when leaving your starting city and heading for the dunes.
