Nobles tunic is not a leveling item on this server, period. Realistically, you might have ONE 68+ exp party before hitting 75 on WHM, if you're lucky. I say this as a 75 WHM myself. The vast majority of your exp parties as a WHM will be under 41, because no wants WHM if they can get a RDM or PL past that level, except for the two camps in Onzozo, (40-44 and 57-61, Cockatrice and Coeurls respectively.) So when your WHM hits 75 from sync parties, you can then go do some endgame and get a Noble's Tunic the old fashioned way. I'll even craft it for you free of charge myself.

It might also be worth mentioning at this point that Deadwing has, among many other bug and exploit fixes, re-coded the vast majority of endgame on his own time to work correctly and be challenging again, contributing more to the server than probably anyone else has, bar Nasomi himself. This includes the upcoming Sea fixes, the one place in endgame other than Tiamat that WHM will be useful.

Those of you complaining, you can thank him for his, "detrimental behavior," on your way out with your tails behind your legs. Enjoy the endgame content he so selfishly fixed for you.

Welcome to slippery slope country. So people that get NM/HNM claims consistently are depriving others of items from those NM/HNMs therefore it is detrimental to the server and should be stopped by your logic.

Again, where do you people keep getting this sense of entitlement? No one is breaking the rules but you want Nasomi to ride in here on horseback and champion your cause because someone with money is trying to make more money legally and YOU don't like it... Next you'll demand he start controlling the prices on other markets because they're not quite to your standard. So what if someone is controlling the price on something? Get in the market and beat them or deal with it. A healthy market is not detrimental to the server and actually encourages people to play the damn game as it was meant to be played. Kind of stupid to jump in a private server and practically get handed higher leveled items on the cheap. Some of you people wouldn't have lasted a week back when there was no market and you had to actually get shit yourself and stuff sold for a hell of a lot more than it does now (when people actually had shit to sell). If anything, new people are hecking pampered...

You all need to stop hiding behind that bullshit "But it's a private server!" banner. The whole point of the server is to reflect retail as closely as possible and this is the same shit you find/found in retail.

Unfortunately, a lot of these things are subject to interpretation by the end user. However the server is rather large, and as nas has said, you can't expect everyone to get along. There will be differences in opinions and some there's just nothing you can do about it. Asking a thousand people to see things your way is pretty much an up-hill battle any way you look at it.

I don't see nas stepping in. As he's said "I've provided the world, the rest is up to you guys". There will be some that will strive for personal gain, and some that help the little guys their whole time here, and some that walk the middle of the road. You can't control other people's actions, only your own, so I guess it's really down to who you want to be.

Epyon: It's great that Deadwing went and fixed stuff. However, it also leaves a very bad taste when the guy fixes end-game content, which would increase the demand for Whms, and then monopolizes the equipment for Whms. Noble's Tunic is the (not counting the HQ version) best Whm body for healing in.

I hear Sea is due to be patched at anytime now. Goes back to one of the earlier discussion points. It's generally bad for the image of a server to have a person developing for it and seemingly profiting from it. I'll admit that I didn't know for sure it was Deadwing doing it (but figured it was, no one else on the server has those resources and the will to do so) and now that it's verified it really just makes the whole thing stink.

It's funny you mention getting a party to 75 and doing the content, because I brought that up in my LS yesterday that we needed to push and get more people Sky access so we could farm our own shining clothes. I can complain about stuff and figure out how to deal with it at the same time

People should be able to "game" the AH as much as their legitimately acquired gil allows. Its a huge gamble to try and buy-out the supply of something and force a price change on the market so if someone has the wherewithal to do so then I don't mind it.

As for that nobles tunic: Nikkei (whoever) bought nearly 15 tunics at 40k, a huge amount of which were sitting on the AH for nearly a month. Then they bought a handful more at slightly over double the price (90k) which were sitting on the AH for almost a month as well. the 90k price reflects what it was being sold at in May. From what i can tell, the tunic was only 40k recently.

Not sure how that strat will work out for Nikkei, but i can definitely say I have zero grievances about it. Even if NIkkei wanted to turn around and sell them at 100k per... so what? By the time someone can wear the tunic, wouldn't farming 100k be more or less trivial?

To be fair, Deadwing was the one investing in Peacock charms. It's not been confirmed that he is now trying to control the noble's market - that's an insinuation from the posters on this thread. Perhaps an accusation, at worst.

When I'm unhappy about the cost of something, I figure out a way to get it for myself. This is the most productive way to handle the situation, and I commend anyone who takes this attitude.

We can only control our own actions, and our own reactions to others. This whole thread smells more like a witch hunt the longer it goes. I have nothing personal against anyone here, but i feel worse about the accusers than the accused.

Well, I think this has been discussed enough. I've got my points out and the consensus is that I'm wrong / it's not the big deal I'm making it out to be / you guys don't care as long as you get your endgame content.

I understand where you're coming from and I think you have valid points as well. Some people tend to get condescending about their differences of opinion. It's a nice discussion to have. I'm in the middle of the road about the overall subject but I lean towards being fine with it. Just chiming in.
