Interesting isn't it. I have found out through these discussions, as i suspected. Rdm/Nin make good tanks. I am still exploring that.

Also on my monk i did show up for few levels 51-53 and found out my shadows were never consumed at all. Not once, even though they asked for it for some inexplicable reason. All i can see from this is because not having /war gimps the dps so bad you don't need to worry about healing not because you need shadows. It has no benefit for tp build up on the mob. I still don't understand that other than gimping dps and aoe shoots right past shadows. I am still not seeing the logic of the requirement.

Rdm/nin is a great tank at 75. If you show up to a party as a RDM, they should kick you.

you aren't losing shadows on mnk/nin because you aren't doing enough damage...but that's not the subjobs fault.

So enmity is the only reason for shadows for the monk? Then if you control enmity then you don't need nin. You only prove my point.
