So enmity is the only reason for shadows for the monk? Then if you control enmity then you don't need nin. You only prove my point.

Your xp parties musk really suck if you can't comprehend this. I'm not even trying to insult you at this point, rather to just sit here in awe at your complete ignorance of basic game mechanics like enmity generation. And yes, if you are playing MNK and don't need shadows, you are either partied up with God-Tier DD's or you aren't doing enough damage.

From what i have seen so far most people have 5million gil worth of gear or more at low level. So I am not surprised my gear sits somewhere in the middle. And of course everyone has a PL. so the whole point is lost on me until i hit 70+.

Then maybe you should reserve your suggestions till then as well since you are essentially admitting that your opinion is uninformed at best.

I just want to say putting forward ideas in a forum dominated by trolls is always dangerous. Note to the moderator, the ability of members here to insult others should be curbed. Especially if they have not put forward thoughts and ideas on a regular basis. It is infinity easier to insult others then to put forward new ideas and they admit they do it to shut down discussion they don't like. If you want to limit the poison in the forum you could deal with most of the people who responded with insults to me.

Those posts that are critical without insult and hate, those are important to keep as they are on topic.

“They” didn’t admit to that.

Apparently Ninja class is the only sub job to have because of one power.

The ninja blink power.

Either give the power to all jobs, Nasomi, or remove the job. Right now it is over valued because of your own personal actions on how the server runs. So your intervention is required to fix the job.

Just give all classes the blink spell or get rid of ninja, whatever is easiest for you but you must correct that or the TP buildup on AOE or something. The power is in your hands to stop everyone subbing ninja for end game.

This entire statement is built on ignorance and arrogance.

First off, NIN provides more than just damage mitigation as a subjob. Dual Wield is a highly valued trait that only NIN possesses and quite a few jobs benefit from. There's also Monomi and Tonko for the longer lasting sneak/invisible effects. It was never meant to be a straight up damage boosting subjob like WAR, DRK or SAM. It is more utilitarian.

Secondly, the game never forces you to run with a specific subjob. That was left up to the players to decide how best to go about playing the game. There is solid reasoning behind people choosing to use NIN subjob over other subjobs for most situations. I'd much rather have slightly slower kills and more longevity in my mages' manapools than throwing glass cannons at everything while hoping the mages' can keep up with the healing/buffing and that's what subbing NIN offers.

And finally, I hate to burst this bubble for you but...

not everyone uses NIN for endgame. In fact, I'd say a vast majority of people don't use it at all because it's pointless. Bigger things like most HNMs are not meleed period. It's mages that do the bulk of the work and they don't use NIN. About the only jobs that do use NIN are the tanks and even then, PLDs will sometimes use RDM or even BLU. Smaller events like Limbus or Dynamis, yeah, most melee do use NIN and for good reason. It increases their likelihood of survival and saves time due to less downtime waiting on the mages which is important when you're doing timed events.

Thats your problem here, what you're putting forward isnt a new idea, its something thats been debated and discussed for 15 years, and some of us have discussed this topic into the ground. Utsusemi is an integral part of the game, and one which the game has been built around in its balancing.

Honestly despite blink tanking being super fun, I do believe its too strong, and I feel like if there was a world where it didnt exist I might be on board. Sadly you are not the person to convince me of that, since all of your alternate recommendations are god awful. The issue isnt that people arent open to the idea of a world where everyone doesnt sub /NIN. (they dont, I refuse to sub /NIN in merit PTs) its that youre coming to the table with bad 15 year old arguments which honestly either wouldnt work or would break the game even further. (Blink spell being similar to Utsusemi)

5 million in gil low level.. Even in a "Brewster's Millions" type situation I would have trouble finding a way to spend 5 million in gear before level 50, so either your definition of "low level" is shit, or your grasp on basic math is shit. Probably both.

Peacock charm, JSE rings... there's a decent amount of low level HQ gears that aren't cheap, but this is mostly due to broken bcnms or NMs

(Not defending him but you can gear 5m+ pretty easy)

Oh it's definitely possible, I'm just saying it's both unnecessary and uncommon.
