So I played this back in 2004-2005, have no access to my old accounts but want to play the old style. I tired the new style 3 or 4 years ago and hated it. However, how friendly is the private server this far down the road to a brand spanking new level 1? I have no problem solving, I actually mained a Drg/Rdm and ran around soloing from 1-75 back in the day. So challenge isnt something I'm scared of, I just dont want to be completely alone.

Nah - New people join every day. You'll find that most of the server is actually still readily helping newer players when they ask for the help, there are big social LS's full of people that like to help ppl in their free time.. and also there's absolutely no shortage of lower level parties to help lvl'ing.

Awesome, So after reading a few things, do I just use the torrent to download the game from the downloads tab or do I need to download pol and the game client all over again as well?

just use the download link at the top. Comes with everything you need.

You can always shout in your starting city for a newbie linkshell as well: every city has at least one active shell that accepts new players to help them get on their feet.

Shout in Bastok, or reply back here or PM if you'd like, can get you the hookup on a social linkshell.

Never tried it myself, but I've watched many a night of GravenDarken's twitch stream while he was soloing Drg/Blu, and the combination of cheap heals along with Healing Breath, and also Cocoon... make it a very viable soloing alternative. Hope to see you ingame soon
