If you ever have any doubts about whether people use nefarious means to camp/claim NMs, go camp Simurgh for a while (or any of the 'Jeuno Kings', really). The number of people that rush straight to where it's about to pop multiple seconds before it does is pretty silly. And no, it's absolutely not only due to the lag to draw the mob on-screen when many people are nearby.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of how many of these mobs' pop mechanics work, it's tough to police - especially in any kind of automated way. Most offenders only get caught when they branch out into other shady stuff.

If that's the case, they're not very good bots.

We've managed to get a pretty solid claim rate on HNMs just applying some of the same tactics we used to use when competing hard for OWNMs.

Having competed at HNMs in retail against people using NASA and similar, if any LS was using anything near that caliber, they would be glaringly obvious. I would be very surprised if there was any sort of wide scale claim botting at the HNM scene on Nas, at least these days.

Of course, people have accused RFK of botting since the days when Rekuza was dominating everyone at Valkurm Emperor or when we've run groups out of the OWNM scene, so I suspect it's largely just sour grapes. If you think someone is cheating, report 'em to Nas. We've gotten multiple actual 3rd party/bot users banned that way.

I wasn’t assuming, and they’re fairly effective for a number of mobs on Nasomi.

To be fair to Cth, I haven’t played much since he started bothering with them... but at least until about 2-3 months ago, “yes, many.”

I didn't say they were claimbotting. I said many use bots/3rd party programs to get claims on HNMs.... and it wasn't a guess or an assumption, lol

Nah, he asked about a bot/3rd party program. I think of claimbotting as the old argus bot where it'd just spam a JA on a specific mob until it popped. I don't know if anyone is doing that, I'd guess yes though. I was saying that yes, many use 3rd party programs to assist them in claiming mobs.
