What is the best damage dealer job in the game?

Pretty open ended question. The answer changes depending on what you're trying to kill and what you mean by "best". DRK and SAM for sheer damage (but not on everything). WAR for versatility and a kickass relic weapon. MNK is seeing it's day in the light finally, especially once you have blackbelt. NIN is getting some great numbers given the right support job. DRG is king on flying mobs, plus you can shed hate. And if you wanna get broad in your definition of damage dealer, BLM gets the most play in endgame

The best damage dealer is the one that you enjoy playing.

- BLM endgame
- If you had to choose only 1: SAM is king because of skill chains and TP bonus which accounts for 50% of damage. Not to mention OP job abilities for a DD.

In different scenarios, it is very good to use different occupations to physically harm DRK and Sam, but if you need endgame, you still need BLM occupation

BLU is also an excellent DD in endgame if well geared.
