Hello!

I'm brand new to Nasomi and I'm not sure where else to ask this. I set up the controller just fine using the FFXI config EXCEPT the D-Pad for menus. Whenever I do the movement, camera, and menu setup the D-Pad never does anything. I know for a fact the D-Pad works, however. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

in the button config menu on the right side try "type E"

I'm having the same problem, but selecting Type E doesn't fix it. Any other ideas?

Yeah, type E appears to be what 99% of people playing in 2020 will want to use, so I'm glad that was here, was having issues beforehand - only issue I have now is that enabling this seems to kill any keyboard inputs in game - for anything, including typing... Am I missing something easily fixed or do I have to choose between keyboard and comms or silent gamepad boi

World is evolving, hids are evolving, the games engine is not evolving,
@VonAlek at the top of the gamepad config make sure you can check "Enable Xinput" the try to use "E" again.
@Josith make sure you set keyboard layout to full using the ingame setting, if you still have trouble unplug your keyboard while in the game then plug it back in. The newer gaming keyboards like the corsair I use don't auto detect as a keyboard with ffxi, once you get it to detect though, should be good from then on.

Using Xinput you may enounter problems with the switchmon app, where you press the key to change windows and it only works 1 time. If you get a problem like that you can use an xinput tool to add some dll to switchmon that disables xinput for switchmon while leaving xinput active for ffxi. Messy but blame microsoft and them pushing for xbox sales.
