Not that our opinions matter. But I've always felt that when Exp rings are active for a weekend, it's the more dedicated players who get the best bonus out of the rings being able run through all the charges, recharge the ring, and then run through it again. Meanwhile the poor underleveled casual player might only be able to login to secure his 1 charge and then log out until he can find another day to party.


Usually bonuses are for the casual crowd to make them feel good about the smaller amount of time that they are investing and keep people coming back to at least complete their quick bonus. I would like it if the exp ring bonuses were usable maybe once a week or something to give everyone more equal footing on who gets the exp bonus. But I think Nas likes using it as a way to signal "HEY EVERYONE GET IN HERE AND PARTY THIS WEEKEND!" Which I'm sure does lead to large login numbers on those weekends which is understandable

iirc there is/was an exploit that let you recharge the ring, but it can't function if rings are off. That's the rational behind only turning them on every once in awhile.

Yeah you can get 2-3 uses out of it per week by throwing it away and buying a new one. You should only be able to recharge or buy a ring once per week, but it seems you can do both. This bug needs to be fixed if rings are to be left on.

I do wish that when they are activated due to a holiday, that they were activated for the entire week. I usually have to work holidays and don't get a chance to use them.

Agreed that it'd be nice if they were on more regularly/all the time, though maybe a "simple fix" for the current bug might be to just disable the ability to recharge them entirely? It seems that the ability to buy them is properly enforced to once-per-week. Sure, you could still 'bank' a set of ring charges and use it the following week, then buy another ring and blow through two full charges in a day or w/e, but that still only limits you to being able to *obtain* one full set of charges each week.
