321 droprate for oxblood orb is atrocious. Seen many peiste leathers drop there but no orbs. I think Idol thoughts might be the opposite; oxblood orb rare, peiste leather very rare. But it could also just be really bad luck with 321; since nasomi made the droprates for these items so incredibly low, it's hard to really say much for certain, especially with him potentially altering drop rates over the months ie with foulard.
But either way, Idol Thoughts really isn't difficult, and you can bring mostly the same setup as you would to 321: 4x sam/nin with polearm merits and 2x rdm. Each samurai opens on a separate golem with penta thrust and pulls them to a separate corner to solo, rdms stand in centor and support with enfeebles and cures (and nukes if wanted). Some tp moves remove shadows and/or third eye, but with 2 rdm for cures it's not a big deal, they don't hit hard or fast. Entire fight takes ~5 min including buffing at start. You do need rdm/blm to escape everyone because the bcnm is broken and you cannot leave. I suspect you could even do something similar with hostile herb although I haven't tried it, samurai is just kind of broken at lvl 50 with polearm merits.
