 Post subject: Differences from retail

Hello all! Just a few questions from a new player. 1) I was told that magic acc was broken on this server, is this correct? A rdm refused to back up heal due to the individual believing rdm is a dd on this server claiming that magic acc is broken. I have not noticed this on my rdm or blm as I have seen some resist. 2) Do pirates/Sea Horror populate on boat rides from Mhuara to Selbina and vice versa? I have taken a few rides and have yet to see any pirates. I apologize if things like this are already posted elsewhere as I did search. Just wondering how different the mechanics will be on this game. Thank you!

Magic accuracy itself works fine in the sense that a job with the same stats same skill and same gear will have identical macc to retail. It does get wind at its back somewhat from out-of-era gear/food such as Queens' crown, but it's not large.

Meva/attributes of mobs on the other hand are off by varying amounts on a mob-to-mob basis. Endgame mobs that were given individual attention are okay, but there are many mobs and mob families using stats that were just someone's guesswork.

The pirates and sea horror do not work to my knowledge. The ship Mhaura <-> Selbina should not spawn any mobs at all besides the ones being fished up. Some of those seem to be able to stay up even after arriving and departing at the ports. Unless you read or hear sonething about it being fixed I would not waste my time waiting for them to show up.
