So much nostalgia! Exactly the same reasons with me. I left FFXI quite a while ago (formerly of the Lakshmi server!) during the levelcap 90-95 increase but I was a little jaded well before then with some of the newer things they brought in which I felt just ruined the game....

Fast forward to today and I've been feeling increasingly nostalgic about my FFXI time (aided by my listening to The Star Onions FFXI music, check it out on YouTube!) and decided I should finally look up some private servers that hold a much better time for me in the game!

I think youtube might be the best way to get the word out on this server. People look up videos of nastalgia all the time. If Nasomi and Nasomi players can post any intriguing vids on youtube that let people know that this retro server is out there and how awesome it is, I think more people will try it out.

I found the server when someone mentioned Nasomi via youtube comment on a FFXI music vid. The nostalgia of the music brought be back in.. Glad to be here!

That's cool, the new installer is way faster than the old way. Before the biggest hurdle to getting into game was the 15 confusing step process that took 6-12 hours where if you missed or messed up one step nothing worked and you pretty much had to start over.

Searching for final fantasy 11 and just saw that there were private servers.

Searched for "final fantasy 11 free server"

So happy there are still people playing!

Played on ffera for a while so was aware of private servers etc, was told this one was awesome and so here I am to play again. :)
