I had found out from a friend of mine. He however found it through a google search when looking for privately hosted Final fantasy servers to see if that was a thing like with WoW. And you guys stuck out mostly because you are set in the era that we played the most and enjoyed the game the most. Before leveling became a solo'able thing and the level cap was 75

Google searched "Legacy server FFXI" in 2014 when I was bored with FFXIV, it was in the top searches with a few more, did research and landed in Nasomi like 6 months later in 2015 when I finally figured out how to install lol

Googled for "FFXI community server" after seeing stories about WoW ones. Came to this one for the 'era' flavour and decent playerbase numbers

Although I myself found Nasomi through a google search, I often leave comments on old FFXI youtube videos suggesting Nasomi to potential return players.

I googled FFXI private server and out of the all of the available ones, this was the only one that seemed to be what I wanted.

Perhaps it may be beneficial to start sharing more media from the server to show that we are active and highly functional. Not going to lie, I was almost turned off by the nasomi.com front page at first by how outdated it seems. Perhaps it does not have this effect on others, but I do remember being skeptical about this server actually working when I first checked it out.

I had the same feeling to be honest. The lack of posts about updates had me worried, especially since one of the few posts that can be seen was about the Gil crisis which I wasn't present for. After I looked at the forums I saw that it seemed more active and installed to see for myself.

I found Nasomi through Google searching "FFXI private server 75 cap".
