Thought I'd take a shot at soloing this on RDM/NIN for old time's sake. Haven't played RDM much on here, so I was definitely quite rusty, but managed to pull out the win somehow.

Strategy is fairly simple:

1. Focused on evasion gear/food. Even with RDM's "D" rank in evasion, the mobs in this BC aren't IT++, so a decent evasion rate can be achieved.
2. Sleep dragon, kill eye as per usual. Use Bind on dragon before sleep wears off to make re-sleeping easier.
3. Use Bind, Gravity, Sleep when needed to catch a breather and reapply Utsu/buffs/debuffs.
4. Brought 3 Pear au Laits, and I think 5 Yagudo Drinks, about 15 min worth of refresh/regen.
5. Also some antidotes and holy water in case of poison/curse.

Did another run, this time on THF/NIN using marksmanship. This one took 2 attempts as Bloody Bolts turned out to be kinda lame (less than 10hp healed, wake mob up, and give mob TP), and AoE spam was a bit much, so I played it safe and abused Sleep Bolts, letting Regen drinks restore HP. When safe, SA + Fast Blade.

THF's naturally high evasion makes most of the melee attacks non-threatening, so it's really only the TP moves, and -ga spells that are a concern. Could be much faster and easier I suppose, if one wanted to load up on potions.

Just as a heads up, the Evasion Bonus job trait for Thief doesn't work here. My Thief only has 6 more evasion than my Ninja when naked using /checkparam. That's from the 7 extra skill it has at .9 evasion per skill. The MAB trait for Red Mage is in the same boat I've heard in that it does nothing.

For rdm it doesn't show up unless you sub blm, but if you are subbing blm it does in fact work.

Interesting. I'd known about MAB not working correctly for RDM, but was unaware the THF traits were also missing. Thanks for the heads-up.
