So, Nas banned me however many months ago for "claim botting" despite being able to reproduce the actions on my private server and proving to him my actions can be done without botting. However, as we all know, Nas is a dictator and it's his way or the highway. His systems in place could never be faulty. He actually said, no one has ever triggered this failsafe until now.

Anyway, it's not a big deal to be banned on a private server, so I'm not all that upset about it. Sometimes I miss playing but at the end of the day it's just a time sink. However, I am upset that I went out of my way to help him fix a MAJOR flaw that a number of players were utilizing to dupe gear for their own gains. You'll notice trade has been acting differently for a couple of months. Deadwing and I got on his private server and I showed Deadwing how to replicate this dupe. It was very apparent that I never used the dupe on my character because A) I'm poor as heck and B) my gear was shit tier. Ruining the economy on a private server is the stupidest thing one could do. So, how does Nas react to me showing him how to go about fixing a server dupe for him? He ignores me and doesn't even say thanks.

Thanks, Nas! Keep up the work on your tractor, it's bound to do some good one day. To the rest of you, you're welcome I helped keep the economy safe. To the dupers (whose names shall not be named because they're still playing) sorry bros, I thought nas would compromise unbanning me for fixing a major flaw on his server. Instead, he takes credit for the find and doesn't acknowledge me :( at least at0mos said thanks.

A lot of people have found and reported flaws, and they didn't want streetcred or medals or unbanning or anything in return. But then in the same breath you state how you won't report people you "know" are using exploits, and the way you phrase it sounds like you are holding the info about the dupe flaw as ransom for unbanning your character.

So which is it, are you altruistic ffxi jesus who is concerned about players and server health? Or some shady addict desperate to get his char back at any cost

Player admitted to using scripting to claim. All forms of player automation are not permitted. When I refused to let said player out due to no tolerance rule, said player started throwing insults. Player then left, unhappy.

A week or two later player approached me attempting to trade exploit info for his account. Located and fixed issue while player was with-holding information. Player claimed he fixed issue.

If player in question pursues such tactics all related characters/accounts and IP links will be permanently removed for security purposes.

To put it clearly and in no uncertain terms, I will not b e held hostage on my own server, I have no desire to put forth money and effort to make this server happen that a player then decides to abuse, and I will not ever trade "favors" for special treatment.
