Is this ever going to be a possibility on this server? I understand why we can't access Satchel/Sack out in the field and I'm fine with that. I know Wardrobe isn't "era" and while it hurts, I can accept that, but missing out on the extra inventory space from having a Safe 2 really hurts man.

sack/satchel/case didn't exist in this era at all. It was inventory, mog house, and mog storage, which you could load up with storage providing items. In era it was 30/50, we have 30/80/30/30/80. You're permitted a mule char alt that you can use, too.

If you need more space, do your gobbie bags. Also I've heard Mog Locker works, but I can't confirm.
Mog safe is already expanded by default as well, so you don't even need to go through that quest line to get the extra 30 there.

Considering the wiki says Lynx Hide only drops in Shadowreign, probably.

if that's the case how are others obtaining it?

It drops off of OWNM 60s, as does Smilodon leather for the next gobbie bag quest.
