How do you make gil a lot of it since most of you cry about wanting new players and when you get them are greedy and overprice everything and expect everyone to be decked out with gear from the beginning.
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4600viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4420viewtopic.php?f=6&t=756... there are many threads on the subject. Besides the forums, you could have asked almost anyone in game, or in naschat. You could have asked your LS, you could have browsed the AH and saw what sells, etc...
Ok your being really negative right now ok? All that garbage is chump change what is the real money making strats like what about mining in Ifrits Cauldron? How do you work the AH go in to depth about what mostly sells. How do you even start to craft in this game?
1. You can mine in Ifrit's Cauldron if you like, but you should know how mining works before you start. There is 1 gathering point up in any gathering zone at a time. They have multiple spawn points which may be far apart. This means the most efficient way to mine or gather is in a party - each of you sits at one spot and mines your own point only. This removes travel time and benefits each person in the party. You may want to try mining in Attohwa Chasm or Maze of Shakhrami, too. Both Attohwa and the Maze can drop elemental ore corresponding to the current vana'diel day.
2. Think of items you yourself would like to have - what goes into making them? What about items that are consumable, and so are always in demand? For example, as a new player you may have looked up Sneak Oils or Prism Powders. You could start leveling a craft to craft those.
3. If you think all the suggestions given are "chump change" then you clearly know plenty about making money already but are just looking for an even easier way to do it. There is no flat out easy way to make money. It takes time and investment. All you need to start crafting is a single crystal and some materials. Look up recipes on the internet.
