Hi

Quick question: What is the purpose of the current mining system wherein there is only a single mining point per area?

I hear this encourages party play, but if I'm mining on my own, how is this system better than retail? Just looking for an explanation since I started mining today and would like to learn how things work on Nasomi, and why.

Thanks

It's terribly tedious by yourself. Even more frustrating if someone else is mining at the same time.

Party up and reap the benefits.

I only remember there ever being one up at a time fairly sure we used to bounce it in retail during CoP too.

Your memory is fuzzy.

One thing's for sure. Mining parties are nothing new. I don't ever remember anyone talking about them on my servers, though.

Is there a good place to find some maps of the nodes on Nasomi? I can't seem to find them.

I used to mine with a buddy and we would compete to see who could get the most rare ore in a run. Mining got me my first mil. Good times.

I'm actually enjoying the system a lot when in a party. My question was though why is it this way in Nasomi? I'm guessing it is something to do with ease of code, like Concepcion said.

If there's no definitive answer that's fine, just thought there might be a well-known reason.
