I know of at least one person who has done it, and Im hearing from people that it is doable. However, Im hearing that the character loses sky access via ro'maeve > hall of the gods. Anyone have any additional information, especially first hand info, Id really appreciate it.

Before anyone tells me to just do sky warp quest, Im bugged and do not have access to the warrior of the crystal title to start it.

I also know you lose all op warps.

I know of one friend who switched nations prior to finishing ZM and they were bugged on ZM5, unable to progress.

Don't do it, it's a trap!

No. It only bugs if you do your ZM missions for Sky access and then switch.

worth changing to anything if you are from windurst

It will cost you 40k though, less if you change to 2nd place nation.

Best 40k i ever spent, i got more OPs in one week in bastok than a month in Windy

EDIT: aslo you can not have any mission active. if you do you need to finish what you are on, and not take another.

I've been using the sky warp for well over a year because of this. Which is faster anyways so meh.
