In retail I recall that (in general) Desynthesis rates had an inflated HQ rate, even if your skill was at or below the cap.

Can anyone confirm the same is true on Nasomi? I've recently split several dozen Gob Masks with at least a couple dozen successes but have yet to HQ one of them. Granted I am still just below the cap, but so far the data suggests the HQ rate for Desynthesis follows the normal crafting formula.

Sadly, no, the HQ rate for desynthesis is not the same as retail. It plays the same as normal synthesis with the normal synthesis HQ rates. Also, you won't be able to hit HQ2s without hitting Tier 2 on the synth so, for example, you won't be able to get Darksteel ingots from Quadav backplates until you're close to 100 smithing, if you're lucky.
