Hi all! Just by way of introduction, I'm a Nasomi noob, but FFXI / MMORPG vet. Just joined server yesterday (installing on work comp today, don't tell my partners), and I am ecstatic to have found this game and this community.

In all my years playing MMO's and all of my various play-throughs of FFXI, I've never ventured any 2-boxing and I've never really played ANY tank/melee dps job in FFXI. From what I've read, Ashita makes it relatively painless, but I wanted to ask community here for their recommendations on what jobs/class to roll as a 2nd account.

My main will be some iteration of heals / support / ranged dps: WHM/BLM/BRD/SMN/SCH (if it's a thing here).

My 2nd box should presumably be some melee dps / tanky thing (WAR/MNK? MNK/WAR? PLD/???). As a 2-box noob, I'm looking for a meatshield that just run it's face into a mob, engage / auto-attack, hold aggro, slowly dps things while I get to play my main toon that I actually enjoy playing. Please let me know what's the best job combo that can do these things as a low-maintenance 2nd box account.

Best low man support: RDM, BRD.

Best low man tank: RDM, THF, NIN, SAM.

Former is obviously the worst for damage, but it can get the job done, and depending on what you want to do, can be essential.

BRD support goes best with RDM, while RDM support goes best with the others.
