Good afternoon everyone. Recently I had to use NasChat for the first time and to my shock, it was using a Flash Player based chatting system. While this is certainly period-accurate to 2006, it is also extremely insecure and cumbersome. With the surge of support for HTML5 in the past several years, Flash Player has all but been done away with; due to its sluggish performance and how easily it can be compromised. I would like to recommend an alternative, either a new HTML5 chat, which can offer the same, if not more, functionality to the existing one and additional security or switching the Discord (like most communities). Discord would add a lot of adding functionality as well as a method for the community to come together. Imagine partying with some randoms in The Dunes and being able to join voice chat with them on the fly. Well, this would either turn out to be hilarious or just a lot of swearing...

Anyway, thank you all for your time. Just figured I would drop my opinion in here.

{Take Care.}

You can connect to naschat using any IRC client. The web client exists for those who don't want to install a program.

Discord requires registering with a 3rd party, something not reasonable to expect for players looking to get help with Nasomi issues.

Nasomi does not allow for any global chat except for naschat - but anyone is free to have their own discord for their own linkshell or group of friends.

I am aware I can connect to it via IRC but that still limits a large portion of the community to an insecure, sluggish, archaic, method of communication. Unless there is some issue with IRC over HTML5 I am unware of it would be much easier on Nasomi, yourself, and the community to convert over to HTML5. Just a suggestion. :)

Anyone who uses naschat for more than a question or two before forgetting about naschat entirely is using an IRC client instead of the web client. It's there for the people who need stuff answered quick and that's about it. Nas has much better things to do than swap from flash to HTML5 for naschat, so I doubt any change will happen to that soon.

Does Nas not allow volunteers? I am sure there are some very talented individuals that would love to help the server if given the chance.

Well, that is a shame. With less on his plate, I feel he could focus on more important things.

It's almost like 98% of the community has been telling him that for years. Oh well.

alot people more people will do more of the game like the rank missions, CoP, reaching sky, Sea,
contents gets more broken the more you reaching them, instead this 5 min maintenance and fix few things and breaking more things.

Im ok help new player when join this server as mentor but when they reach that point where item lost cuz server bug.
Mission completed but they did not get any credits for it ican keep post alot list of stuff people ask me about ingame why aren't this working?
Why is this broken`?,
Why dident iget credits for the win....

Im sad to see how broken most thing is and game is a complete disaster its more worth play retail and do 99 contents cuz you know it working but screw up the golden 75 era is bad..,
Well i enjoyed play nasomi but once when i reached end game content and noticed server is screw me up alot.

Get mIRC or whatever IRC client you want -
/server irc.partyfm.dk or /server irc.partyfm.dk +6697 (secure)
/j #nasomi
Quite a lot of people prefer to connect that way exactly because of the insecure flash player.
Good luck.
