I've talked about this in the past, but I'm gonna bring it up again. These rental prices are bugged or something because they just do not go down. Some of them are well over 3k to rent a bird. I seriously don't care what explanation any of you want to give me, the bottom line is the rental system needs work. Set a cap to it or something, because this is just getting ridiculous.

It's the stable charging you, not the bird. They don't see a dime of what the owner gets. So I'm sure they're pissed either way. All the more reason to have Chocobo Raising.

The price goes up and down based on how many people have been using it recently. With the population on the server that means there is less and less "downtime" for the NPCs price to go back to 200G. Prices are fine and retail accurate as far as I can tell, go farm a bit instead of leveling if Chocobos are really putting that much of a strain on your pocketbook.

Again, I have spoken about this before in the past and don't care for an explanation. I do farm and I have the Gil to purchase the rental. However, when you are out at a Gate Crystal and find that the rental prices near them are well into the thousands, it becomes an issue. I still say a cap would be something everyone would benefit from. How is it that I can TP anywhere on the map using Outpost warps for 100 to 150 Gil or Conquest points, but I must shell out thousands for Chocobo? There is no reasonable explanation for this, hence why I asked not to hear any.

I vote for a cap of 10k! And I do not want to hear any rebuttal. If the OP can ask for no opinions I can too.

I said no explanations of how it works because that doesn't do anything for the problem. I don't mind differences in opinion. But the assumption that I must have an issue with it is because I can't afford it is just silly. It's no different than the players who talk about loot drops.

On a serious note. Nasomi has said this will not change. And he has also said that he is constantly looking into ways to remove gil from the economy which renting Choco's does. So again, not going to change.

He also mentioned Chocobo Raising soon, so you have that to look forward too.

You can still put a 1k cap on it and Gil will be drained. How many of us spend 500k in the AH? A good deal of us, so money is being fed back into the economy. Granted AH sales go to sellers and not deleted as if you purchase something from an NPC. I'll be happy when Chocobo raising is finally in. And just for the record, I'm not trying to be a jerk about this. I've held my tongue for a year, but it's just getting really old.

I personally have no actual opinion, because I haven't used a chocobo in months. OP-Run gets me most places faster than Tele-Choco will
