I think this is what happened to me as well. Is there basically no way to fix this if it happens? Pretty bummed that I might be screwed out of a talisman.

If you bought the card from a bazaar or traded for it you might need to temporarily put it up in your bazaar and then take it back down in order to trade it to the NPC. It's a Nasomi bug.

So when i did the christmas event, I bought the gear from the moogle, and before talking to the NPCs in Port bastok, i went to Jeuno by mistake and got all the +1 dream gear from them. I came back to bastok, and ended up only getting ginger cookies after getting my +1 dream gear. Now i went back to jeuno and am unable to trade cards to the NPCs ive already talked to. Am i out of luck for the tidal talisman?

I got my Talisman on Locke second trade in Jeuno, no idea how. Traded to a bunch of NPCs that werent viable for no notices. Then finally found a second one and it gave me a talisman. Maybe a bug, not sure.
