Probably because no schedule or organized events. I stopped in and it was empty, so i left.

Gimme actual ballista and I'd play it more. Hate to be a Debbie downer, but the current system won't be anything more than a bastardized version of what pvp in FFXI actually was. I'm also hoping he'll at least add an actual map with terrain too. Flat map with grid lines is so boring lol part of what made ballista so much fun was the different maps. Jugner, Pashhow, Meriphataud and Ghelsba were all a ton of fun.

I did a 1v1 with a buddy and I had loads of issues. I was NIN and my equip set macros weren’t working, my WS wasn’t working, and none of my enfeebs were working. Granted it was only one attempt, but it didn’t go well lol.

EDIT: Just now saw that Nas’ announcement said melee only so that’s why my enfeebs weren’t working I assume. Nevertheless, I had the other two issues which I think are unrelated.

Kind of agree w/ Tex, FFA pvp in this game can be fun for all of 15 mins, after that w/o some kind of point to it, it just gets old. If we were to have Ballista on nasomi then I'd be so down but until then I'm not too interested. Probably will go test a couple of things in there though.

You must need a D2.

I'm mildly interested, but probably not enough to actually try it out. Were people actually asking for PVP at some point, or is it something Nas just thought we'd want? Because the whole idea has me picturing a cat dropping a dead bird on your bed at 4am. ie there are better things I could be doing and more productive uses of his time, imo.

Yeah I think most people who like PVP play other games. I mean I'm sure there are diehard FFXI fans that love PVP, but very, very few.
