Can anyone tell me what is wrong that I cannot fish these up? I am skill Fishing 10 - have tried fishing in Mhaura, Buburimu, Port Jeuno, and Qufim , with clothespole / sabiki rig, lugworms and crayfish paste which is supposed to fish these up but none have worked. I saw that Yellow Globe have a cap at 17, am I too low to even catch these at all? I keep getting rusty items, or 'no bite' basically and wondering why this is the case. If I am doing something wrong can anyone tell me what I should be doing and or what level I need to be to start catching these? Thanks. Really looking to get these for my alchemy skillups.

Yellow Globes are 14-17 I believe. You are 4 levels too low.

But, I can fish giant catfish and tricolored carp which are higher than 17 cap. Is the fishing on this server just massively irregular? Catfish is like 31 or something...? This is why I am confused as to how traditional fishing caps work here on this server.

Some fish have much higher skill caps than others. It's not too far off from where it was retail.

Catfish is 26. Tiger Cod is like 14-29.

Dunno. All I could find was information about people starting yellow globes at 14. I searched every site I could think of to find the min starting level. However, 14 was all I could come up with. Sorry :(

Boilon head over to Mhaura with a composite rod and a sibiki rig. You will catch Yellow globes and Bastore Sardines at around a 40/60ish ratio(not counting the occasional item). Was doing it just this afternoon so it still works :P

I was using a clothespole, so is this definitely an issue with my rod and not a skill level? I was using Clothes + Sabiki rig / lug worms / crayfish ball and none of it worked... I will try again with a new rod and see then, thanks for the post.
